Hi All,
Have a 110 hybrid defender with a 2.5NA engine instead of 200TDi - well it bucks the trend. The steering pipe is split around the brackets at the front - high pressure side. How can I tell if the pump that is fitted is the original TDi pump or one from the 2.5NA - so I can order the right pipe.

I would imagine it will be the pump matches to the 2.5 to fit the TDI pump would need a bit of modification. Does the pump have a more or less all round body and is bolted on below the alternator?

both pumps are the same just that the union fittings are differant at the back your tdi hass crimped ends on the rubber hose where the n/a fitting is nut , jist a big version of a brake pipe. Maybe a hydraulic firm could help you out .

Thanks for that - the rubber hose is crimped onto the pipe - so suggests that the pipework is original Tdi not 2.5NA
