19j, makes a horrendous noise, when stationary it's bad, not so bad the faster I drive, my first thoughts were pas pump, Pas works but not great, also, how interchangeable are the pumps?

What fittings on your pump? There are a couple of types, I had a TD PAS setup on my 2.5na and I switched the whole lot over to the TDi engine I fitted with no issue - my pump has the bango type fittings

It's the old type, union screw connection on one pipe and hose with jubilee clip on the rear of the pump, from memory. Box is the one with 5 or 6 bolts, can't remember, the one with the most bolts! I retro fitted all this over a decade ago, think it came from. 110.

Iirc 19j and 200 tdi pas pump are the most expensive ones, they are also crap as the shaft front support bearing does not run in the pas oil like the disco versions.
I have had two shafts snap, both times bearings shagged, all because of the offroading I was doing.

Is it possible to fit the disco pump? My pump is progressively getting more noisy/leaky to

I dont think so as the drive shaft is quite a bit shorter.
A google of images should give you an idea.

They may have even come down in price since I last bought one, which was about 5 yearsa go.

Turned out it was full of air, took it down to Off-road. Rovers and we bled the bejesus out of it, works fine now.
