Just pulled into the works car park yesterday and there was a squealing noise from the steering. High pressure hose gave up the ghost and dumped all the power steering fluid on the floor after spraying everything under the bonnet. Towed by the AA to my local independant for repairs. Only 2 days before, they replaced the 'o' ring at the joint to the PAS pump (which is still weeping). Could the 2 problems be connected?

Not sure if they are linked, but same thing happened to me, but if was a hose at low level, these trucks are a handful to steer with no PAS, especially at little roundabouts

Its possible the pipe was fatigued with age & any movement when fitting the 'o' ring may have assisted failure.

Well, got me car back. The hose had not split as thought. Now the PAS feels tight when I turn right. It's like momentarily stiff and then frees up. Any one got any ideas?
