I need some advice for buying and fitting do's and dont's.for power steering for my 1990 110 2.5N/A.I need arms like popeye.

You will need a pump, a PAS box and the pipes.

I have the 2.5N/A in my 90 and I toyed with the idea of fitting it but I don't find the manual steering in the 90 that bad (as long as you don't try dry steering - teaches you good steering in my opinion!). Anyway there is a little metal plate bolted to my engine where the pump would bolt on, so you need to get these bits, if your handy with a welder and around the workshop you can make the brackets etc...

My 86 N/A 90 has power steering fitted. Dont know whether it was standard or not. Th pump is mounted down on the right of the engine below the alternator.

If you are going to do it, make sure you get a good PS box as older ones have a tendency to leak, which is an MOT failure and is quite difficult to fix without replacing the whole thing.

PS is handy esp on 110 but in some ways its simpler to have manual from point of view of running costs.
