Hi, I have a 110 and all is well but on way home from Wales on Monday I noticed that the steering became heavy when turnin left or right. In fact it felt as though there was blockages in the the steering wheel turning, you could start to turn then it became hard to move then it went a bit then harder again. On the staright it felt normal. I checked the ps fluid and it was down a bit, I topped it up and it helped a lot but by time I got home it was acting up again. The ps belt is tight and good, and the pump is turning as the engine rotates. I did look in the reservoir with engine idling but could not see any movement in the fliud? Should the fluid be flowing whilst the engine is idling but no movement from the steering wheel. I was wondering if the fluid on flows when the steering is turned?. Any ideas...

When you got home did you check the ps fluid again to see if it had gone down? Sounds like it could be a fluid leakage from what you said.

I have had the same problem as this, where the steering was going stiff. I checked everything to do witht the PAS box but found nothing. In the end it was a track rod end joint. If i was you i would check all the steering joints for play and movement. Hope this helps. Cheers Eddy

It's sad but I have not looked again to see if the ps fluid has gone down again. It was late when I got home and back to work today, I could'nt make myself go out again to mess as it was really cold tonight.

I will be having a mess with it tomorrow and investigate properly, always the way is'nt it, I was going to give it a service this week as well, then somethng else plays up.

I'll post back when I find the problem.
