Hi Guys

My wife's just returned from a 3-day trip into deepest, darkest Devon.
She complained that the car seemed to loose all power when trying to go up hills and flooring it at 70mph in 5th gear only resulted in it going slower and slower.

I've borrowed the car today to drive my 25-miles to work and it ran fine, BUT, I did notice a lack of power when going up hills - No spluttering or rough running, just a lack of guts.

The RPM stays constant when this happens so I'm fairly certain it's not the clutch.

The car seems to run fine around time, and although not the fastest car in the world it does feel quite nippy.

Any ideas?
Are we just experirncing the standard issues of an underpowered engine?, could it be a MAF issue? (Any way to test?), or maybe a fuel filter?
The car was services in Dec 2005 having travelled 27k miles ... it on a V-Plate.
Cheers

Hi Simon, there are loads of posts on here about loss of power, just look back through the pages and you will find lots of answers to your problem.

Last time my wife complained of no guts she had left the hand brake on and cooked the brakes:eek:
i assumed you broched the question?
