Dont think a bit of chewing gum would sort that :)

was shocked to say the least when i first saw that

land rover haven't to this day admitted there's a problem with them

but think if they ever did they would have to get the cheque book out in counter claims

seen a few where the engines have gone bang and the owners trying to take land rover to court ,

remind u of anyone, lol

with regard to the Citroen oil pump it is exactly the same as the LR one. they both have the same Ford part number on. LR just charges twice as much for selling you a bit of Ford kit.

trouble is if anything goes wrong , u can't go back to citroen , as when they ask what engine did u fit it in they won't entertain it

agree is a rip off, but at least if something goes wrong u have the 2 x year warranty with a land rover , but nothing with citroen

I could buy a citroen one from my friendly LR parts supplier. How would they ever know?
My mate works for a JLR parts distributor. When I told him about the pump he had both makes on his desk to check and there is absolutely no doubt they are the same part from the same factory.
