V6/1.8 version. Useless with any other engine - lack of protection ;)

That looks like the man tec guard on my v6, but mine doesn't have the big hole in it. I bought it new myself. :confused:

I've never seen one with a big hole in it like that. :confused:
 
Someone has butchered that for God knows what reason. It's now completely useless as it's lost all its strength, oh and they're 6mm not 7.
They used to fit all engines

Nope, there was a mantec version for V6. Look at this G4 FL below

You can see that cut out. It's for exhaust manifold/pipe. Probably this cut out is needed only in NAS version (not confirmed, but that info could be found on G4 owners club)

and those are 8mm not 7 :p

Ah yeah thats the same, does that mean the ones I'm still half way through designing will only fit a td4/DI?
 
Version for Di/Td4 still work with 1.8 i think.
Somebody with V6 should check that is enough space between exhaust and sump guard. Exhaust from front head goes under engine sump (similar to 1.8). Maybe in NAS version it goes a little bit lower or sth.

Presume its ####ed as it is but a bit of work might bring it round?...
