Now here is a really dumb question for you!!! In the instructions of the power pack is says that I must 'connect the positive to the pos. on the vehicle battery and the neg to the vehicle chassis', now how to i do that when the pos. is up in the engine bay and the chassis is down underneath!!!!! I am sure there must be an easy answer to this from those in the know but to me ?????????????????
I am hoping I don't need to use it as I have replaced the battery but - just in case, as I don't want to look a complete idiot when on holiday in France.

ha ha,just connect the neg lead to any part of the engine/bodywork as long as it is metal.it is all connected to earth via the chassis.;).just dont connect direct to battery, that is because it can spark and potentionally cause an explosion.

Oh dear. Lesson one for teacher (as well as pupil) is READ THE THREAD THOROUGHLY before trying to give an answer because if you don't what is a smart answer might just not be quite as smart as you thought.
