We flippin' know it is easy to steal and break down into parts....
That's why l wake up every morning and look out of the window fully expecting to see the 110 either a) gone or b) stripped of doors, bonnet, wheels and interior :-(

I have an immobiliser on my 200TDI and it's sat under x2 CCTV cameras, but if they want it, they will take it no doubt. Have a look at this local to me too lightning...

Yep, looks like the Rippers have been at it again.

If the Defender goes l am going to get a G-Wagon. At least then l will get a good night's sleep....nobody seems to pinch these.

Bit expensive, think I would go with a Land Cruiser

The Police could start looking at e-bay sellers and asking them to prove the spare parts they are selling are not stolen. I doubt that will happen though. Also anyone buying spare parts needs to think can they be sure they are not buying stolen parts, not sure how but if it is cheap as chips perhaps they are stolen parts!

Defender parts are never cheap as chips, I don't imagine if they are stolen it will be any different. Police wont put man hours into policing Ebay unless they had a solid lead that a seller was perhaps selling stolen goods. Lets face it, there is a massive market for stolen secondhand parts, stopping the sale of these parts is going to be near as dam it impossible. I suspect that we could all do a bit more to secure our Land Rovers and prevent them being stolen in the first place though? (Don't answer that)
My job takes me to several farms and I have to say the amount of Landies I have seen parked up with the keys left in the ignition is ridiculous.
