hello all, here i am again asking experts and novices alike. My engine management light came on,a mechanic put on the diagnostics and it indicated that the high pressure valve sensor on the rail was the problem, the wireing plug was reconnected and error code was erased, and the management light went out,ive driven approx 100 miles since that and i have felt the engine sort of stall, like for a milli second but then seemed to be ok again.i have a new sensor but as yet it aint been fitted, should i go ahead and get it fitted or could the problem be elsewhere? anyone encountered this problem before

If your rail pressure sensor was diagnosed as being the problem and you have a new one I should get it fitted before it breaks down

my son who is a commercial vehicle technician suggested that i replace the fuel filter on my sport, with the idea of starting at the rear and working forward just to see what prevails. He replaced the fuel filter, the management light has stayed off and all seems to be fine. The cost of fixing the problem went from approx £240 for a sensor and wiring upgrade to £16 for the filter, hope this thread can maybe be of help to someone in the future.thanks again to those who took to time to reply to me on this.Much appreciated.:)

Just shows you how good the diagnostic computers are.....well done to your son and you for a good result :)
