I don't think all the windows, sunroof and mirrors share the same fuse, so it sounds like you need to reset the computer which controls them.

Make sure the new battery is fully charged, disconnect it for 15 minutes or so and then re-connect, making sure that the ignition is switched off.

Good luck!

having the same problem myself at the moment. Not sure what to change first tbh. mine hasn't got the sunroof, but the mirrors and windows arnet working. Maybe the switch panel? or is there an ECU for it?

This seems to be a recurring theme on this forum  Have you got any messages on the dash about windows not being set etc??

Try disconnecting the battery and waiting a few mins like suggested, if that doesn't fix it then I think you really need to try a another switch panel. These seem to be a weak point especially if any liquid gets spilled in them.

Hey Foxyloxy,

As Wills has said, let us know if your are getting the message " RF/LF etc window/sunroof not set" , you need to reset each of the electric windows and sunroof after a flat battery. Its something to do with the anti trap system in the windows, there is a procedure given in the handbook for doing it ( I think you just keep your finger on the button until it moves through a full cycle).

Hey Garioch, were you in braveheart? I'm in the picture in your avatar!

mine is saying Not set on all windows, but i can't see why the mirrors wouldn't work as they don't need to be set do they?

Do the window reset procedure as in the manual - Its fully open and close each window in one continuous operation. the message centre should then say 'window set'. I'm not sure about the mirrrors, does yours have automatic dipping linked to the memory seats, this might have to be reset as well.

ive not got the electric seats. What is the window setting procedure? as ive not got the user manual for my car.
thanks
josh

Hi again Josh, hopefully when you get home you will have got the RAVE disco through so you will be able to see all this info :D

To set the windows, press and hold the button to make them go down and then when they are at the bottom immediately put them up again and hold the button until the message centre says WINDOW SET. You have to do this with each window. You also need to set the sunroof in sort of the same way, fully open it up and then immediately close it and then immediately tilt it open, again message centre will respond with SUNROOF SET.

The reason your mirrors arent working is most likely because of the window switch pack. It sounds like you have a damaged one if the windows don't work either, see if you can try another one out from someone else's vehicle or get hold of a second hand one from somewhere.

You should download he RAVE software from rangerovers.net, its free and its got the full worksop manual with the owners hanbook included as well. Anyway the procedure is as above: Its fully open and close each window in one continuous operation.
I'm sure my mirrors didn't work when I had by battery drained by the Rf reciever but I can't for the life of me remember how I got them working again.

Ha, I just see wills has got in ahead of me!

Cool - good job I'm laying the kitchen floor today, should downloaded by the time i'm done!

Cheers Badie

Hi SpudH,

No, I wasn't in the film, but my son has one of the prop swords used my Mel.

Small world indeed!

i think when you set the windows, when you have fully opened it and you are closing it again, after it is fully closed keep your finger on the button until it beeps and says Window Set. Releasing it as you would normally doesn't complete the setting routine. Or at least it didn't on any of my windows.

Hi,
I am having the exact same problem plus tonnes of other problems. Anyway back to your problem. On my car I pulled the blue plug from the rear of the window control panel and tested the plug for voltage. I found battery voltage and then checked the black wire (Black=earth) and found that the black wire was not earthed. I have not got any further with it yet. I will let you know later today possibly. Hope this helps. Check that I am right in saying all black wires are earth.
