Need some urgent help.

recently got a freelander 1.8i 2000.

When i get above 60mph there is a loud deep whining coming from the front right wheel. figured this may be the bearing.

So i jacked up the wheel to see if there was any play in it but it doesnt spin. handbrake off, and in nuetral. moves above 6 inches back and fore.

Also, there seems to be a sound of pads low on the front. grinding noise, sounds like metal to metal.

do you think this is two seperate issues or is it related. havent checked the pads yet.

You will need to jack up another wheel aswell to make em spin

Pads are very easy to fit on these and discs & pads can be bought cheap enough

Only if it's in gear (or an automatic possibly - not sure how they work!)
