There used to be something called an Intravee that uses the CD player connection to create an Aux in Jack point....

I use a tape adaptor....simple and works!

Which tape adapter do you have? One I bought crackled, the other only worked on on side. Currently using a cheap from transmitter but you get whine especially if you’re charging while using it.

Was made by Belkin and I got it from PCWorld/Currys.....

I have had no issues with it!

Think there's a company called grom that make an adapter to convert your radio to Bluetooth and still have steering wheel controls

I used to have a cheapy FM transmitter from eBay, it worked great on small local trips, but as I drove the length of the country different frequencies would be used so I'd have to constantly retune it. I then got another eBay special tape adaptor that used Bluetooth rather than 3.5mm, which would last around 4-5 hours on one charge, which was ideal because the tape deck on my old Merc was hidden behind a sliding panel, so couldn't use a normal tape to 3.5mm adaptor. I'd probably go for the tape method over a FM transmitter if I had to do it again. I drive too far and the interference was a ballache. Maybe when all FM radio stations are turned off they'd work better?

Latest update it was the BM54 module that was at fault, I have had it repaired and now fitted the DAB+ and all is working perfectly, thanks for the heads up with the DAB+ it's a great little system.
