Think this may be a simple and silly question, on the sides of my windscreen on my TD5 there's a plastic trim, they look like they are held in by plastic rivets, on the inside frame, what is the best way to remove a: the rivets
b: will this make it possible to remove the trim
Also I'm guessing that I'll need to replace the rivets with new ones
Thanks Gary

Thanks for that perfect, one question though, does it mean I will need to replace the whole "A" frame trim, all I wanted to do was replace a rubber seal that runs between the trim and the windscreen, ( it came adrift )

This worked for me (had about half of it part company with the trim). Don't think the rubber seal is available on its own. The complete trim is around £60 plus VAT per side.

I used 6mm red rawlplugs instead of trying to source the right stuff.
They just push right in and hold fast

That side trim also has three steel retainers on the inside which often break off from the trim, so be careful.

The rivets, just push the centre pin through to release them.

I've got a new n/s trim in the office here.

Think I'll give this a go first, if needs be might run some black sealant down the sides just to tidy it up, £60 for a bit of rubber sounds a bit steep
