Hi all, has anybody fitted a plastic diesel fuel tank to replace the original steel one? Is it worth it? Can you get one? Have been told that rodents find them tasty....

All the 300 discos have plastic tanks. I had one for years, and, at the end of its life, it was parked up in a field.

The rodents nested in the air filter, and ****ed all down the ducting to the turbo vanes, but didnt touch the fuel tank, or nylon lines.

Never seen one of them. I know Richards allows an option when ordering 110 300 chassis to change the mounts for td5 plastic tanks, but ive never seen an off-the-shelf option.

The part number on the link you posted does come up on the jrl website, but, in the endlessly frustrating way, they dont allow you to know what models use that part -

https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/wfe107020-tank-assembly-fuel.html (etc)

Web searches for the part number dont go far either.

The sender unit on it looks like the 300 disco one, but, again, the crap-ness of their website doesnt let you get any of the other part numbers from the diagram : (
