Be very careful,a cooked v8 will end the life of the car,its a £500 pile of scrap if the motor dies.Bit different with a TD5 as they are more worthwhile fixing and s/h engines are doable.Unless you are very lucky in finding a warranted s/h v8,(Not many breakers would be brave enough to give a warranty on a v8) you run a huge risk of the replacement being shot too.
I am well aware of individuals love affairs with their DII v8's,but all too often I have to give bad news to cash strapped owners of boiled up v8's..... Not many LR independants would recommend aone as a good buy.
