I put a Synergy 2 and Pierburg Maf on my 2001 Freelander about 3 months ago.
I removed it yesterday as the insurance company wanted too much extra money on renewal. (maybe I should have not told them )
I only removed the Synergy 2 yesterday and now the car has no power below 2000 rpm. Could this be due to me leaving the Pierburg Maf in place ? I still have the original Maf and can put it back on the car if this is the possible cause. PS. If I have to remove the Pierburg Maf I will be looking to sell it on if anyone is interested. It cost me £68. Thanks

You're correct in your assumption that the Pierburg maf won't work correctly without the synergy module's maf compensation so the original will have to be refitted.

If it were me I'd change insurance companies.

Hi, It increases bhp by about 30 and possibly increases mpg. Certainly makes a big improvement at low revs. It has various settings so you can increase torque which helps when towing.
