Until the price of petrol drops to 25 pence a litre, I wouldn't consider a V8, even then, given what a crap engine it, is I'd have to be desperate

The 3.5 might be a better option;)
 
This was is my old classic shame it was a bit to rotten to put throu another mot. I'm in the process of striping a few more bits off it then its off to the big scrap yard in the sky. :(

First Classic 3.5 EFi 1988 Vogue SE - She succombed to rust, sold to a guy who off roaded it on the trials circuit...no idea if it is still around!

Second Classic 3.9 EFi 1993 Vogue SE on LPG - Stolen and then found by the plod a couple of days later in a farmers field burnt out....

My ol' Dutchess. 1985 3.5 on carbs. Only 43,000 miles. Still goin' strong, but she has a mysterious flaw on the brakes. Most times they do, but too often they don't.

my old girls slowly getting to how i want her. 4.4 on gas/carb set up. still lots to do yet though.

Not much cooling with that lot on the front.:eek:
never been a problem cooling, standard viscous, plus twin speed control'd kenlowes never had to use them though as she never climbed over a quarter plus large oil cooler for engine. twin alternators and 3 heavy duty 1500 amp batterys plus 240 convertor. but like i said still
a lot more to do yet
