Hi all,

Have any of you got a picture of the fuel tank with the seat unit removed and happen to know what the internal diameter of the fuel pipe is please?

Thanks,
B

Does this help? not sure what diameter the pipe is. There's some good diagrams in the parts book but the link I had for it doesn't seem to work any more. You could try a forum search.....

Great - Thanks! Can I assume that with just the seat box removed that I can see the top of the tank as yours is?

To clarify - I need to know the internal diameter of the fuel supply pipe (the black plastic one in your image). I had tried a search but came up with two possible answers; 5/8 and 5/16 but both could be wrong and it could be 1/4 as this was a standard on lots of cars. Anyone able to help please?

Cheers,
B

I've just removed a rotten old standard fuel tank from my ex-mil Series 2A, it's in the garden I'll try and measure the pipe for you at the weekend :)

You can get at the sender by removing the seat base and then the plate beneath it, you don't have to take the whole seat box off.

Tom: That would be great, thanks!

Oxides: Thanks for that although I have to take the seat box out as I plan to fit a S3 gearbox in the near future. However, knowing that there is an access hatch means that I can replace the pipe before the box swap.

Cheers,
B
