Not that interesting to be honest.

They stopped building TDi 300 in May 98' and started on Disco 2 TD5.

However it is not difficult to imagine that there might be lots of unwanted TDi's being stored in compounds as most customers at the time would want to buy the newer TD5.

Consequently there will be TDi 300's built in '98 but not registered until later in '99.
 
As someone still learning about the Disco variations, is a D2 chassis frame longer than that of a D1, due to the extra rear overhang?

disco 1 was sold all the way up til 2000 and beyond as they made so many......

Yes, the wheelbase is the same (100 inch) but the rear overhang is longer so chassis longer at the back to support it.

Your right there its not like a fender, the heater works for a start, and it dont leak (quite as much) it's more cumfy, to you want me to continue :D
