still just trying to work out how to edit bits off the GoPro , photobucket definitely doesn't like my huge HD files , but i shall have a good look at it today , and in true blonde bint styleee may just get some pics up here in the next decade ....PaulD as the pied piper of peeeegsville is priceless!:D

I find just using Microsoft Movie Maker reasonably easy .. and when you come to save the edit, it offers a decent choice of file types and thus sizes.

Moviemaker

The link will send a file that will download the windows essentials 'suite' .. just check which bits you actually want. Be careful that it might also try to install Bing toolbar and other ****e .. sometimes the 'next' button isn't the right one to click without checking what's written on screen first!

Have fun, can't wait to see me 'on film' .. ;)

Thanks Paul , trouble is we are on an Apple iMac so we'd have to install windows 8 , anybody else got some good tips for movie editing programmes for Mac?

I find it better to upload videos to YouTube, has a basic editor to use too

looked at youtube but to upload 17.58 mins of film takes 274 mins ..
GoPro has it's own cinefilm prog but says i still need to have an editing software prog for the basic cut and stitch stuff ...humph ..:(

I've got macs as well notoriously antisocial to every other package lol also windows does not run well on the mac :D

Sorry then, I've used macs before, at my last school, exactly for film editing, but can't remember at all what was used. I'll try and find out, 'cos it was a quite powerful suite, yet simple enough for children!

I have fibre-optic broadband so downloads and uploads are pretty good and now we don't notice how ****e botophuket usually is/was .. ;)

That probably means its extremly complicated software... every new generation of kids seem to be born about 10x cleverer when it comes to computers to the previous generation.

I had a girlfriend who would always say brought/bought the wrong way round.......never really bothered me but I did find it difficult not to automatically correct her...

She didn't take kindly to it

Most women don't.....

Is safer to let them think they are right(correct for you BB):lol:

She would have if she thought about the difference between "I brought her home from the town centre" and "I bought her in the town centre" :D:D:D:D

Your use of 'right' previously was correct...it's just I've got into the habit of adding in words to your sentances so they make sense. Sometimes it backfires :D

Ere muds,

Have you tried iMovie?

Ive converted my GoPro footage before using that. And the first time you open it, it will guide you through it.

You have to have the apple iLife package on your puter though. Mine came with it.

I might have a copy of iLife i could send you via Dropbox or similar.

It was a few years ago and was iMovie .. who'd a thought??

Dunno anything more about it, they used airmac laptops or something similar. Really smart, thin laptops networked to a BFO server so all the kids could share movies.

Must admit, the system on each laptop was way faster than any PC, short of spending thousands on the PC ...

No probs,

I think you might find that if yam has iphoto then you should have iMovie annorl. :)

Its the icon on your bar that looks like a hollywood walk of fame star with a video camera inside it.

I had problems loading GoPro footage into photo bucket as well.
