Hey guys. I've finally got around to taking a photo of my new landy for you. Nothing special as yet, but as I add things I'll add more pictures so eventually we should have a good "as work is done" record of progress. Here it is before any serious work has started

Kinell.:eek::eek::eek:

Looks like one of the S*L*U*T*S owned it before you.:D:D:D

I generally buy tatty or faulty landys and then do em up as I go anorl. Some are just more faulty than others.;):p

It's a propper landy. Not one of them nasty rangie things like BoB has.:p

that's mint that is, and is exactly the sort of original looking landy peeps should be buying

Yeah it does look a little battered. As a whole though it's in pretty good condition. The front end is a bit of a let down for the whole truck. It was well loved until the farmer backed a trailer into it the week before I bought it!

I don't mind the dents, but the wing on the drivers side has a big split in it where it's been bent so badly. I'm buying a new set of wings and a bonnet for it, and then I think it will stay as it is for a year or so. I don't want it to look perfect, I'll be too scared to use it!

I would never have a discovery for just that reason. Defenders don't have dents. They have 'character'. Admittedly, some have more 'character' than others.;)

you'll ruin it, dont worry about how it looks just make sure it runs and stops 100%

nothing there a hammer and bit of chequer plate wont cure.oh and that offside head light might need adjusting

dont mek it luk to gud or some bastid ul rob it off ya,mek it gud but leave it lukin battered and wi a bit a luk the robbin cnuts ul leave it alone!

Paid £4.5k for it, which seemed a little steep but I'd looked at so many heaps before I found it that I just wanted it! It's got good service history and two local owners so I figured it was about as good as I was going to find. I was hoping to spend a lot less, but never mind! It drives a lot better than any of the others I've seen and the engine pulled a lot better than the other two I had.

How MUCH!!!!! fooking ell they saw yu coming din't they??? I'm sorry but that's way over the odds for a smashed up deepender?

and is me or does the O/S front wheel look seriously out of line.

I've looked at every defender advertised within 100 miles for three months. All were total wrecks or at least in really poor shape. This one seemed quite good. It may be a lot of money to some of you who have a lot of experience of finding this kind of thing, but to me it was the best I could find! I've got a habit of being bent over when I buy vehicles, why change now?
