Found myself with plenty of time on my hands so after various chassis repairs I’m starting on the body, removed the corner piece, de-rusted it and the ally painted and refitted. Question is should I keep the caps and corners body colour or go for black or white or whatever. Suggestions welcome

Another vote for galvanised. But if you are going to paint them they should be body coloured, everything else just looks wrong or tries to imitate the proper galvanised version!

Galv would look good but I'd have to replace them all and didn't realise how much they cost

Most glav plants have a minimum order cost of approx 90/100 quid.
Yes but that is normally for a minimum weight. So you go get the minimum order and the. Send them everything that is made of steel and is easy to uNbolt. Bumpers, tow bars, snorkel etc. Then You have everything, Nice galv cappings,as well as Lots of other parts that will last long time looking good.

Removed the o/s/r spare wheel carrier bracket which revealed a big hole in the o/s corner cap. So having more time than money I made up and welded in a new section so looks like it’s definitely a paint job now
