Well I picked up my 2003 range rover hse td6 in Zambezi silver yesterday, last owner had it since it was 2 years old so I'm only the 3rd owner, it has fsh and its covered 95k miles, it's had the gearbox done including a new torque converter and stepped motor in the last few thousand miles so hoping I won't get any problems with that, it drives perfect, really love it but have noticed a few little things yesterday

Passenger mirror drops when reversing but dosn't come back up automatically and has a little shake when you unfold it, suppose I can live with this

Just today noticed 3 tiny little bubbles under the paint on the passenger side rear, bit upset at that so may have to look into sorting it but then I'd worry about a paint patch, can't see any on the rest of the car, anybody else got this problem?

Nsr door dosn't unlock with the button so I'll have to rip the door card off and take a look

And the last thing is the black trim on the doors has a few bubbles under it so I'm hoping you can buy these separately

They are only small issues and I appreciate its 9 year old but I'm very picky so I'll have to sort them over the coming months, any advice would be much appreciated and if anyone knows how to make an 'aux in' to replace the cd changer that would be cool, cheers again :)

Luckily I served my time as a mechanic for landrover when I left school so still know quite a few people who work there so when the inevitable happens they should be able to help :)

Congrats on the new purchase - Pics??

My Reversing Mirror does that so I now keep the Mirror Switch positioned to the Passanger Door as this disables the reverse function.

Yeah I noticed that works, I'll get some pics up, the main thing that worries me is the little bubbles under the paint on the arch, is it a common problem and how quick is it likely to worsen?

Check the window trims on the doors, they bubble up from underneath too.

I noticed that on mine end of last year. So took it to friendly body shop guy and got it fixed straight away. Why wait for it to get worse, catch it early.

Did they just blow it in? I'm worried about a colour match, don't want it to stand out, I'll have a look round a few body shops, glad I'm not the only one lol

My guy did the full arch and blended it in beautifully. You wouldn't know it's been done. BUT and it is a big but, it all depends on who does the job. Do you have friends who know a good bodyshop? Or the indie you take your cars to for MOT etc , will have someone he recommends. If you can't get a recommendation from someone you trust, go round a few and ask to see their work. Personally I go just before it gets dark, so I'm there as the street lamps come on because if the bodyshp isn't the best, shading differences show up great under street lighting :D Red is great one to check how good they are ;)

p.s If you put your location up, someone may have bodyshop info near you.

Other than that good luck hope you enjoy it piccys would be nice :)

I think the trims on the bottom of the so does are steel, I'm off to my old delership to get some prices for the trims so I'll post how much they are, going to a body shop to get some advice on the bubbles under the paint aswell

Well just popped to landrover, the trims for the bottom on the windows are about £35+vat each so ill be getting some of them after Christmas and i went to 2 bodyshops, one said I would need to remove number and arch liner to see how bad it is but couldn't give a price until then, the other one said £90, he said he will grind it out and paint it then lawyer the full quarter and he reckons it will be as good as new, ie you won't be able to tell its been done so these are jobs to get done.
I just feel it looks a bit dated so I want to get some sidesteps on it and I'm paranoid as hell, keep thinking the suspension is a bit low at the back, I'll have to measure it and see if it drops overnight lol
