Any photographers on here?

I am trying to find, some sort of clamp/adaption for my Manfrotto, to be attached to my roof rack.

Don't want to have to buy another tripod, which I know are available.

Got a very large lens I want to use up there!

Also trying to source a very light weight, solid roof rack base?

Don't know about clamping to the roof rack, but i have seen a clamp that fits onto a window opening before now... can't for the life of me remember where though!

Big glass? I'm interested - what is it and what are you snapping?

Thanks for that.

I had looked at warehouse, just worried about the weight. I think I will just try and make a light weight base, and go from there. Maybe I can put something on the base, rather than fix to the rack.

Not as exciting as I would like!! lol.....Sigma 500mm

Mainly for wildlife, obviously buzzards, kites & ospreys are my main prey, living where I do!
We have an owl on the farm, would love to get him!
That extra height would make for such better shots around here.

Me is way too old for climbing trees!!!

how about a bean bag on the roof??? I assume you have side steps?
