Don't bother with those little cheap rotorvators, in my experience the heavier and thicker the blades the better
Td5powers canon c8 is a good machine! And will turn over hard ground if not you can't go wrong with a good Honda, got a 30year old honda rotorvator in my shed, starts first pull and still going strong! Used lots!
the 'eggspurts' have told me that it would be ok to go straight over with the rotavator cuz all the weeds are just surface weeds and are nowt to worry about
the last person has looked after the plot quite well.
cheers

Absolutely no help what so ever but I was using the rotavator last week and oil splasher disintegrated!!! Found out after taking it apart.
As I was using it, it started blowing smoke as the particles of metal went up and down the bores scraping them. Then the bottom end went a couple of seconds after it started blowing blue smoke! Stopped it rather quickly and didn't half scare me. Made bloody loud noises for a 5HP Briggs & Stratton engine.
Its quite ill, hopefully with a hone and new rings it'll be okay.
