Peetabruh?? Pfft nothing is local to me.
Decided not to do either Billing or Peterborough this year after going for the last 6 years. Me and the missus had enough of being isolated amongst the Defender/Disco owners and treated like ****. Trust me, it gets very tedious year upon year being the only Freelander owner in a sea heavily modified Defenders. The banter I can take, the aggressive negativity .............no.
So it's typical this year that we've decided not to go , when there's a club stand and other like minded owners going.
that's unreal.. thought the gaylander stuff was just a LandyZone thing.. how insecure are they to need a 'lets of road' 90 to feel validated..Trust me. I could tell some stories of the type of crap we've endured. But it was at Peterborough when we were threatened with physical violence if we didn't leave the club house while trying to enjoy a pint. We went outside in the end, were crowded by 6 guys ,one of whom seemed to be the"spokesperson" for the rest.We were told to"F off before we got a kicking". The doorman joined in by saying, "what did you expect driving a gay car, they (meaning the 6 lads) obviously hate poofs, so do yourself a favour and f off." There's me with my missus, there's them, 6 blokes together, sharing tents too , no doubt, and I'm branded gay !!
Strange how LRO never printed this when I complained in writing. According to the following mag, Peterborough was a huge success.

well I am the same with the negitiveness ,I had a phone call the other day from one of the landy mags as I used to have all of them ,but got fed up with no sections for Freelanders, all was going well he offered me 3 mag's for £3 for the first 3 months ,and then he asked me if I had a landrover ,I said yes we have 2 Freelanders it went quiet ,I could here a penny drop and then I said I was looking to get a series he then started to talk again
and I said do you not like Freelander's ,he did not answer so I put the phone down, I ask my self why for all this negative about freelanders ,are they not made by landrover.?
Just have a look at the "Land Rover Owners" facebook page and half the gimps on there if you want to see its not a LZ thing!

Your more than welcome to join us on the LZ club stand at the shows we do next year and everyone is welcome to the (soon to be announced) LZ11.
Tratters, Hippos or Lord Toff in his Rangey makes no difference to me, we know how to stick together when needed
