Can we add a subsection to that act? Namely calling any model Range Rover , but mostly the L322, a Vogue or as some insist , a Vouge.

As for the argument that is always rolled out that J**p was copied by Land Rover ,; just because something starts as a copy, does not mean the original remains the better of the two. Think of all those Japanese 'copies' of 1970s British cars.

I don't know, I go to all that trouble to go to Trump, and then you still complain, maybe when I see the UN, they will change it further.....

Yup, bought a defender without telling the folks.
Took it round Ma's and asked her outside to show her..
'Ohhh lovely, you bought a J**p!'
FFS Ma. ..

Why would any sane person use a willy as a chassis ?
Tin hat on and hiding under stairs :rolleyes:o_O

I'll join you there, once I've pointed out that J..P beat the original RR to the the SUV market by 7 years with the Wagoneer, though admittedly it still had part-time FWD.

All I know is they are more reliable and easier to get parts for.

Don't know about reliability, surveys such as JD Powers rank them pretty low (on par with JLR products!) but this is a LR forum & I've said enough about J..P already, folks here will think I'm anti-classic RR which certainly isn't the case at all :)

Every vehicle has it's pros and cons, except of course for the Freelander 1 which always has been and always will be crap. :D

A friend of mine had a new J**p. The oil light came on saying add oil.
He added Oil. The engine died a horrible death and the car was written off.
J**p said it was his fault. He pointed out where in the drivers handbook it said "When this light comes on, add 1L of oil.
He is no longer a customer.

A neighbour of mine has a Mazda. You have to change the oil regularly because fuel gets into it diluting the oil and overfilling it! In addition the EGR and whatnot seems to need cleaning out every 10k miles. It is more of a PITA than my old Rangie.

There's a lot to be said for "simple" systems of decent quality.
