Erm, don't seem to have one on me at the moment. Welcome anyway.

The Perkins are great if you want to travel at 40mph pulling a house up a mountain or 40mph on the flat empty :)

I know but the Diahatsu is the same but faster as it will do 70 but does take 20 mins to get up to speed oh and you don't need ear plugs

Ashcroft transfer box works very well with 4/203. Get up to about 55 with one of those.
I can completely understand why OP want one, they are a really bulletproof engine, and loads of torque, ideal for towing or working in the woods.
Best thing about these is they are all gear driven. No plastic belts to break or strip teeth! :)

My 109 2a had one fitted when I bought it with a straight through zorst out the wing and up by the screen.

OMG it was just possible to thrash it to 45 mph before your ears started to bleed

Put a 200 in her pdq :)

All true, an ideal tractor engine....that's what it is after all.

Bloody horrible tratter engine though :p

Nice enough with Ashcroft box, my 109 with Perkins engine was an excellent vehicle. Used it for ten years on forestry work. Preferred it to our s3 with 2 1/4 diesel, much better in the woods, and better fuel economy on the road.
Actually a bit underpowered for agri use these days, my Massey has a 4/248, bit more oomph for swinging big bales around.

Maybe it's not for a landy?
Don't river pikeys stick them in boats?
The marinised version is an excellent engine in a boat, either fresh or salt water. Like the tractor variants, boat engine has a huge cast sump. Only the block, head. timing case, and injection gear are same as vehicle engines.
