Evening all ,

Bit of a noob question here I guess but should I be seeing any smoke from the disco under acceleration black etc? Mine shows no sign of smoke what so ever it's a 96 300 tdi , as this is my first landy Iv nothing to compare it to performance wise either it seems a hell of a lot better since cleaning out ic all pipes de egr and de cat and straight thou pipe pulls well once it's moving but it's the lower speeds that it seems to struggle with acceleration , I'm planing on a boost gauge soon so I can see what happening should I be checking the lift pump? Or would this give other symptoms sorry for going on but Iv got so many questions going round and round I'm trying not to blurt it all out in one go :)

Cheers

Unfortunately, without driving it, none of us can really tell either! Don't expect too much at the bottom end. 2600 seems to be where my turbo really kicks in for me but it will pull away in 5th @ 30mph (just..)

As for your lack of smoke problem... well you could try putting some oil in your fuel..... :/

Thanks for the reply , I don't see the lack of smoke as a issue just wondering why most Iv seen kick out a good bit of black smoke under load but thanks anyhow

:) if only it was that simple , I'm not keen on doing anything like that until I understand how things work fully and I can measure the egt and boost pressure

actually it is. don't be a douche and turn it up loads and you'll be fine.

have a search and read and you'll see it's a multistage pump.

you can up the fuel delivery a little bit when off boost (low pressure) :)

(just mark original locations)

Well my inlet/exhaust manifold gasket arrived this morning as I noticed when I removed the inlet last time the gasket was split in fact it came off in three pieces , fitted the new one on and took it for a drive and noticed improvement instantly thou the whole rev range great result

Cheers

Still no smoke also :D
