Before I got shot at this isn't directed at anyone i'm just letting off steam!

I live in a village with narrow lanes where if there are two vehicles coming generally one or both have to pull over. Why is it that so many people (generally new Land Rover drivers) are so scared of going on the verge just a bit? People in normal cars tend to move and I will as I know i'm not going to get stuck.

Generally there aren't long hedges to scratch cars but some people just seem to have a fear of letting their Land Rovers off the tarmac! News for you it's was designed to be capable off road!!!!!

Anyway rant over like I say this isn't meant to target anyone or upset.

lol i know what you mean, its the oh no i can't get my nice tyres dirty lot that give the rest of us a bad name, i have had to reverse 50 yards with a trailer loaded trailer cause of the ****ers that can't drive

you generally find they are either CHAVs or are taking young tarquin to badminton lessons

When did Bob start badminton lessons.....I just thought he were doin the trainer:D:D

Painted my Landy, my grandad took it out a few days later, only for all of my lovely olive drab to end up streaked down the bushes of a local lane

Wasn't his fault though, the lane isn't even as wide as it and I told him to go down it.

Yes, i know what you saying...

its the same here, usually its the mums in their big range rovers and posh ****s on shiny discos ... usually what i do is sit on the road, get my head out the window and say move onto the fking verge you fokin c*nt, use a land rover as its supposed to be used...

then, they have 2 options, move to the verge or reverse back. :D

i CAN UNDERSTAND THE WAY YOU FEEL i'VE HAD MY LANDY A MONTH ONLY AND CLEANED IT 3 TIMES ALREADY ,ONCE IN THE RAIN !!!!!

no need to shout!

and whats all this cleaning? do you mean you drove through a ford? or a stream and knocked some of the mud off?

Mine gets the chassis jet washed after a pay and play and nothing more. The inside never gets cleaned.

Hmm, might have to wash the back of mine soon as its covered in diesel from the leaking tank:doh: still, it'll stop the rust.

Most drivers just seem to think their car is either 3 feet wider than it is or that they are far too important to move over, ****es me off. They need to learn to drive again.

my oldest boy washed my disco when we first got it but then he said "its too big for him to wash" so now I have had it 6months and I still haven't washed it again :D

Had this prob yesterday, a big John Deere with 14tonnes of maize silage in the back vs a 10 plate defender...... Needless to say the johnny popper won but not after the Deffy reversed along the lane like an artic lorry
