When I first got my Defender a couple of years back the bit of sound proofing on the bulkhead around the pedals required wedging back into place about once a month. Over time it has gradually got more and more frequent, and at the moment it drops to this position pretty much every journey.

Luckily it makes no odds to my feet operating the pedals, I only notice when I next get in that it has dropped again. Anyone have any clever ideas of how I could fix it into position without sticking it to the bulkhead?

Looks a bit dodgy, you wouldn't want it to get fouled up around the pedals. I'd take it off until sorted.

There's a strip to retain it that picks up the lower screws for the dash housing, however there's still an element of sagging.

Self tappers and penny washers as above, just mind where you're drilling as there could be various pipes/wires etc. on the other side!

Thanks for all the advice people, looks like I'll be getting the drill out. The edge is pretty shot and tattered. Will come up with something though :)

It would really have to go some to snag the pedals, when your feet are there it holds it up out of the way.

Way after you asked but with the same problem I used some heavy duty velcro strips designed to hang tools. works just fineā€¦

does anyone know where to get replacements from mine have long since perished and I either need to get new replacements or find some patterns to make some new ones

Ripped mine out when I put a peddle lock box on
To be honest didn't really make that much difference sound wise and my boots kept catching it any way
