Hi Folks....Happy Christmas to everyone

The passenger side is blowing cold (Common problem) on my 2008, Disco 3 HSE with Climate control.
I have bought a new genuine motor and having a spare hour today decided to strip part of the interior trim out to see if I could access the faulty motor.
Looked on the Disco 3 site and could not find a "How to", looked on You Tube and could only see U.S. (LH drive models).
I have removed the lower Glovebox and closure panel( Where the footwell lamp is located) and the heater duct which runs horizontally and is clipped to the lower glovebox crossmember which is part of the dash assembly. I have also removed the "Carpet type" panel which is attached to the plastic side panel fitted to the centre console.
I can just about see the Blend motor but there is a large angled duct in front of it which looks as though it has to be removed for access to the motor and fixing screws.
Do I have to carry out further dismantling ?
The Workshop manual I have tends to cover the U.S. (LHD) models.

Thanks for that info.....appreciated :) more so because you could be sleeping your Christmas lunch off !!

I have carried out the steps 1, 2, & 3 in the photo's so far, only had a quick look but will later try and locate the two Torx screws which secure the large duct over the blend motor.
Given that LR are showing a repair time of 30 mins (?) I would think that there is no further trim removal to access the duct screws.

Oh and a reset calibration for the stepper motors is req

Next step is the self test.

With ignition off press and hold the ECON & RECIRC buttons whilst turning ignition on (no need to start car).

The control module will then compare the current HEVAC actuator motor positions with the values stored in the module and will indicate an error by flashing the ECON LED.

If there are no errors, the LED will go out and the system will function normally.

To confirm that there are no errors, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, then back to the ON position.

Observe the operation of the programmed defrost LED.

If there are errors present, the programmed defrost LED will flash and the system will attempt to calibrate itself.

It's started the day p***ing down with rain here so it looks like a day of inactivity but at least I can use the car if needs be even though there is a big hole in the passenger side dash :D.
The "How to" is being printed off as I type and I will have a look through it after I have walked the dog

I am in a bit of a situation here. I have recharged my ac with coolant agent and now I get super high pressure as in 2900kpa in 18 degree celsius outside temp. No errors are stored in the ecu but if I check the live data I have invalid position at left air blend actuator. I managed to somehow put it it in maximum cold and the pressures were fine. I attempted to reach it but after an hour I quit because I had no clue how to remove some plastic bits. What I managed to pull was the plastic that has the footlight and the top plastic under the steering (the cover I guess). Do you have any clue how to remove the damn motor without stripping the dash? I would go to a workshop for that operation but I know that they will make a mess.

firstly welcome to the asylum, lol, personally I would first go to the introduce section to tell us more about which model , year , engine , etc and about yourself plse then make a new post in the discovery section so we can then build up a history so to speak
