Hi All

I left my brain at home today and managed to rip off the front passenger side wing (over the wheel arch) when I collided with the side walls of a trolley park at a local M&S store

I also damaged the paint work to the front bumper but I suspect that can be concealed by getting the affected area repainted.

Before I try and source a new wing, could anyone give me some idea of the likely cost of a new wing and fitting (if done by a LR Main Dealer)? I just want ball park figures.

I am assuming that the only the outer wing is required to be replaced.

Dad did the same, not alot holding them on just plastic clips. Do it yourself parts around £100

He's only 46

He was leaving the dentist too after having 2 teeth put in and ****e loads of painkillers so Mabie wasn't ontop of his game

Still I laughed

Thank you - that gives me an idea of the material cost then I can decide whether I think the dealer mark up is acceptable!

The most humiliating thing is just before I had got into the car and started to back out of the space into the wall, I had commented to my wife to check that there were no newly acquired scratches down the side from anyone trying to slip a trolley past the car Little did I realise what impeccable timing I was displaying

Thing is,if you introduced yourself in the"introduce yourself" section.
Gave a few details about yourself,what part of the country you are from etc,peeps on here may be able to give you good advice on workshops they have used or even offer you help themselves!.
Worth a punt.

Why don't you go through insurance. That's what it's for & with a disco 4 you want it done properly.

40k car and you want to know the cost! knock it out and get to BQ and get a match pot and paint over it to hide the bear metal, job done for a tenner!!:crazy:
