Ant and Kieth shush a minute :) this bloke still got wet carpet... Took me months to sus this. If all else fails there is a screw that goes through the plastic facia directly above the pollen filter cover, which if not sealed will leak rain water directly into the duct by the bucket full. I have pics and even a bloody video of water pouring in here but on my other pc. So check and overseal with silicone sealant.

:D

Hopefully that should have sorted it but will test it with a hose tomorrow. Thank you.

Can somebody give me instructions as to where these aircon drains are please. My wife noticed a trickle of cold clean water by here foot yesterday. It stopped when we turned off aircon and returned shortly after being put back on.

You will have to remove the side panels from the centre consul to get at them. They attach (push on) to a drain tube at either side of the heater unit.

Is there room to get a jubilee clip or similar to stop them dropping off again?

Bit of a bugger to get at, should not fall off once replaced properly, should be able to get a tie wrap on if it's needed.

I do not really know what it is I am looking for,are you saying that I unblock the drainage point from behind the centre consul,or something will have parted behind it ,or both. thanks

Drains are cleared by sliding underneath, arm up the side of the bellhousing and squeeze the rubber tits (one each side) and get an armfull of water and crap.:D

I popped a welding rod in the tit but nothing came out..not a drop, maybe it is parted behind the dash, I haven't noticed where it drips from but when the car is parked overnight there's always a large pool of water under the car.

You need to squeeze the tit.

If the drains are in place on the heater unit nothing should escape into the car. Unless they are badly blocked and there is a lot of water in the bottom of the heater unit. The drains exit under the car they have a bulb with a slit in it. Just squeeze the bulb to open the drain slit.

Hi, I'm a new member to LANDYZONE Should you do this with engine and air con running or off. PS Great website.

Engine of will do, check your pollen filters if there wet the covers may be letting water in and that ends up in the passenger foot well to.

Both were wet and filthy so put in new (GENUINE) I have sealed the pollen filter covers with windscreen Sealant as it's flexible. Will wait and see know. Thanks for your advice HAPPY LAND ROVERING. Mark.

Just thought of another thing that's started happening recently. When my p38 diesel is cold or, and, on short stop start trips the engine revs when at traffic lights drop when the air con cuts in to the point that the engine nearly cuts out. Today it did cut out at the lights so had to restart the engine. The a/c seems to be wanting more power from the engine? All ok when the engine is hot.Any clues??

Idle control should increase fuel when aircon loads engine. Possible problem with quantity control servo. Diag should tell you about that. Also check that you have no air in clear feed pipe and that lift pump is working properly and fuel filter is clean.

OK, Thanks. The fuel filter was changed 3k ago so i think i can tick that one off. Will look into the others that you stated. I noticed this morning that i have only one A\C drain pipe working so i assume that the other one is blocked. Could this be part of the problem? I will try and clear the blocked drain pipe tomorrow. Thanks for your help, will keep you updated.

When you check the drain tube take care as the filthy water may take a route down your sleeve and it is not nice stuff ...
