ok so before anyone says ...search the section ... I have and cant find what im looking for ,..
my passenger side door lock will unlock via the keyfob button but not lock , it was working fine until the other day and i cant find a reason for it .
i have to lean across and push the button down which is a pain '
does anyone know what this could be and how to sort it

Search the Forum.. as I have explained a few times that there's a fine-line of adjustment with the actuators, so slacking very slightly the 4 mounting plate screws and move the plate while unlocking/unlocking with the fob, when fully working tighten the screws.

It may not be adjustment, but the actuator requires an overhaul so needs to be taken apart.

Whatever it is your gonna have to take the door card off, thats a real easy job (the "close door" handle and the opening handle off then its just held on with the push on clips), once its off have a look at what discool says it will become quite apparent whatever the problem is once you can take a good look inside.

My disco 3 front passenger door would not unlock with the remote at all, it was the door catch which we had to replace, now the drivers door will not lock, unless we lock it from inside, so we will be replacing said catch on this as well. This also happened with my disco 1 front passenger door and rear door, it's a landy thing!:dizzy:

thanks guys ,, not being funny Discool ,and thanks for the reply but like I said in initial post I HAVE searched and not found anything about it and I certainly haven't got time to sit here for hours reading every post everyone has ever made about door locks .

I have a problem finding my previous posts. U have the jest of it, first stage is remove the door card also have some spray Waxoyl so you can do a bit of inside door rust proofing at the same time

spray waxoyl !!! now that got me wondering and just realised the guy I bought the truck off left 2 tins of waxoyl in the back... at least that's something free he left haha

A few people seem to have trouble with the search option, you dont use the google search bar but the little drop down tab just beneath it.

To find previous posts click on the persons name, choose view public profile and then click on the statistics tab and then choose either find all posts or threads started by that user, or something like that anyway ive not been up long and havent had my coffee.
