Hi guys. Me again. Got the beast through mot but the advisiry is both ujs on rear prop are worn and dangerous. Just looking for info on what ujs to buy.
Or should i just get whole prop with new ones on?

Seeing as my landy is higher than factory landys. Would that make a difference to which uj set/ rear prop i should get?

Thanks in advance

How much higher??? Personally I only buy gkn/hardy spicer and unless your prop is worn or you feel idle then just new uj's would be fine

Im not too sure think might be 3 inch.. dont know how to measure it. Was already modded when i got it a year ago.

How would i know if the prop is also worn? Pic below (at work at mo)

This how high. Cheers

Same year as my 90, standard on mine with a bigger gap than yours. Was told it would sink but still not moving much with all new components. If you can change ujs then do it or buy complete and new. Does this gap look bigger than yours.

:(

Maybe invest in a grease gun and check / grease the front ones when you get it...

Cheers

So do you think im better off buying a new rear prop? Still new to this. And dont understand wide angle and normal props

Without looking at it, I could not say, personally, I would pull it off , check the UJs and as a minimum think of changing them.
BUT:
What is the center spline fit like on the prop? is there any rotational play on the splines? Any give longitudinally?
If the UJ cups are loose in the Yokes then the prop is knackered.

Try and find someone local who has experiance of landys to have a look. Would be my recommendation.

Cheers

Aye. Im still a novice. So think will have to see a speciallist to find out what prop i need.

Not sure what you mean by splines.

But here is tube link to what the furthest back uj is like.

OK, that is completely F**KED. I would recommend you DO NOT drive it like that.

Find a local landy owner, Give a shout out here or have a look on FB for someone local , there are plenty of LR groups on FB..

Find a "Mentor" who does not mind helping you get dirty and fix things.

Cheers
