I'm looking for a solution to a problem with the passanger seat in oue 130 ambulance/camper

It did not have headrests, but the Other half is keen we have them so we picked up a pair of the old 1 post headrests from ebay

Fitting to the drivers seat was a breze as I simply pulled the seat-back forward, fitted it and leaned it back.

However the pasenge seat is gocing trouble as it's solid with no adjustment and I can't get the headrest in with the seat in the position it is in because it's hard up against the panel that seperates the cab from the camper section

I've seen rails (such as MUD) that give a little more height and allow you to push the seat further back, but not one that will allow you to pull it further forwards (unless they do that as well, but don't talk about it on the adverts)

So does anyone here know of anthing that will allow me to ull the seat forwards or can you tell me whether it's OK to fit a drivers seat into the passenger position

Losing an inch of legroom is no issue as the better half is only 5'2"

Of of course if you know of anything else I would be keen to hear ideas.

Regards
Andy

You might have to wip the whole seat out in order to get the rails moving; they might have been in that position for years.

If some of the mechanism is broken take a pic and upload it on here. I have a broken seat, that I bought to rob some bits off, that might have the parts you need.

You could get two box section similar to the mud type and drill fresh holes to the desired measurements. The mud rail are mainly for big lard ar*es like me. Maybe cheaper that way. Have a word with a scrappy or local metal merchant.

Hi Bluehaze

Thanks for the offer

I was working on sound proofing today and finally got to take the picture you requested

I think I need a new base and back as they have been welded together, but I'm happy to be educated by you or any of the other experts here

I might have the bits that you're after - I'll dig out the bits I've got left and take some pics. If they are any use we can sort something out.

I have the back of the seat and the lower rails only.

The lower rails being the ones which bolt to the seat base.

The back is in a poor state (foam and cover) but the metal seems fine.

Any good?

Thanks for the offer, but as the seat back that's there already is a bit tatty I think I'll pick up a whole "new" seat - there seem plenty around

Thanks for looking

Andy
