Cant post in the parts wanted thread, so, I need the right angle hose that goes from the centre of the cam cover to the plastic pipe that goes to another right angle hose that foes to the throttle body. Also need a bottom heater hose, mine seems to have the uprated thermostat thing, if that makes the hose any different.
Thanks.

Thanks for the link but the little hose I need isn't there. Bodged it up for the time being.
The heater hose isn't split but it's not far off.

Maybe someone else can confirm but I think the small hose your talking about is probably just an air pressure thingy so not critical. The rad hose on the other hand will cook your engine if it goes so should be a priority.

alibro, I think you're right about that little hose, got a piece bent on there for now and a new silicone replacement on the way (half the price of a second hand one from fleabay).
Next question is, I have the external thermostat on mine, is the heater inlet hose the same as a standard one ?

I don't know about the hoses but I have found from experience buying from fleabay, your better finding a good local parts shop. They will know from your reg which parts are correct and will be happy to exchange them if/when you get a part which is wrong. Manufacturers chop and change parts all the time according to what is cheaper or available at the time so it is very difficult to be 100% sure what will be fitted.

Looking at various photos and diagrams, it seems the original hose had a bend to go onto the thermostat housing, and the one for mine is the same minus the bend. Regarding local parts places I only have one near me and they've got 2 out of 3 orders wrong so far using the reg number. Wrong coils and wrong exhaust centre section ! Lucky for me really, I only needed to change the plugs and the back box - saved meself about £80 :))

I agree, I got some parts last week from our local supplier and one of them was wrong. Difference between that and getting them wrong off fleabay was I could nip back on Saturday and change the part so the car was back on the road by Monday.

I'm in total agreement, the little hose is coming from ebay. A bit of measuring and I can get a new 'alternative' one for £5, as opposed to the only breaker who bothered answering who wanted more than new price for it ! Its just a piece of rubber with a 90 degree bend and 16mm id. No problem. Everything else is getting ordered local tomorrow.

Another option I have used for 90 degree bend hoses are boat chandlers. Apparently boats have an annual inspection, and any leaks of fluids is a fail, so they sell lots of odd bent hoses, at boaty prices, which are twice car prices, but half aeroplane prices.

On a parts related item, I drove 1 hour to breakers who claimed they had a TD4 engine cover, they didn't only an injector plastic cover - so beware DK breakers of Peterborough, they are hard of thinking!

The annoying thing about DKs is that it all looks very neat with the cars all stacked up nice and neat on those huge steel frames.

That eBay pipe looks just like the one I bought for my Alfa from StIves Chandlers for £5.
