I'm thinking of going to one of the monthly events but I don't know what to do about this:
"You will need to have experience of performing a failed hill climb! you will be asked to sign upon entry to confirm that you have off road driving experience!"

I'm assuming it's using engine braking in reverse to get off the hill with a modicum of control? If not how do you do a "failed hill climb"?

I have driven across a field and on a green lane but that's not exactly "off road experience", how are you supposed to gat any if you can't go to pay and play?

I'm only interested in the esay stuff anyway, I'll not be breaking anything.

I hav'nt been for years , when i read the web site like you say it sounds like there is some form of introduction . there is a early thread on parkwood that says theres no introduction just a form to fill in.

when you find out let me know .
Rothwell is not far from you, try that its £20

You just fill in the form to say it's at your risk basically. And yes a failed hill climb is just using the engine to control the descent rather than free wheeling it or locking the brakes!

The £120 event was a special structured day with an instructor for total novices, the normal pay and play where you do your own thing is £35, next one is Sunday the 19th.
