Hi,

I am looking to fit some parking sensors and would like them be to as close a match to the plastic bumber if possible.

Has anybody fitted some that are a really good match?

I notcie many are painted now, but I want unpainted if possible.

Cheers

Its a 2001 model.

The bumper may of been black when new, but they are definately dark grey now.

prolly perished in the weather then, i would have a look at getting some of that back to black on em, did all my plastics last year and it brought em back to ne, also did the side steps as they had faded a bit, bit of a mistake that bit cos i nearly slapped my forhead on the door pillar when i slipped!!.

if the bumpers come up black then just get some black coded ones and its sorted and your bumpers will look like new!!!

If you cant match, i have seen websites that are a very close match anyway, but always get darker ones, not lighter, or they will stand out and be noticed

the colour has faded now so it would be best if you got some plastic restorer, not that back to b**ck stuff but the proper restorer or like someone else said paint the buggers, then you can fit black sensors to your bumper.

Thanks.

I will get some bumper restorer, that was a good idea to get the bumper as black as possible.

I will then buy some sensors in black that are as less glossy as possible from good old eBay.

you can also spray them yourself, that plasticote spray come out quite matt if you pick a tin up. i suppose you can spray em any colour you want really!!

try autoglym plastic restorer, does all plastics and restores them to there original colour,it,s a green coloured gel done mine 6 months ago and they still look like new

Hi guys.

I wanted to ask please when you paint parking sensors, can you spray the actual sensor itself, or just the plastic housing that the the sensor fits inside of? I was guessing it might look a bit weird, just spraying the housing the colour of the car, and leaving the sensor black?

Do you reckon it's a spray can job from Halfrauds, or would we need to spray laquer on afterwards to stop the pain cracking and falling off over the winter? Everything I paint, the paint falls off!

Cheers. :)

paint them as you would the bumper - complete - primer, colour and lacquer if necessary.
Paint dont alter its working.

I've got bumpers that match my parking sensors!

Now where is that cure for colliflower ear :D:D
