Hey up folks.

Here's an odd one. (Another odd one that should read!)

The parking sensors on my old girl seem not to work. There's no fault showing on my allcomms and my Uncle's just had a look with his snap on system and when he was in the diagnostic he could see the distances from each sensor being reported and even saw me walking past them front and rear but when he ran the 'sounder' tests the sounder didn't sound.

Any ideas?

Very droll. It's the only thing left that doesn't work on her.

If you press the button it bleeps and flashes but that's all I can tell you as I don't know anything else!

I thought that's what they were meant to do; bleep and flash? ...

If the lamp flashes this means the ECU is either showing a fault or it is duff.

Parking sensor ECU issues are common.

Oh Ant, why do you add sensibility into the thread? look's like people were just getting going with the double entendre's.:D:D

I agree sensible answers are not acceptable on parking sensor queries. Only answer possible is "LEARN HOW TO BLOODY DRIVE". :D:D:D

:eek:I've just realised I haven't wiped my booits and tekken't ferret from down my trousers before I came in through the tradesman's entrance!

I'm waiting for someone to come on Landyzone international rescue saying, "My parallel parking button does not work what should i do"? That will be a good thread. :D:D:D

My parallel parking sensors, along with the transporter system doesn't work.
I tried the usual, "Beam me up" request and nothing happened.
Is it the duff radio fitted into these cars or the, even duffer, speakers that are to blame.
I am experiencing sleepless nights over the issues, the latter especially, as the mother in law is visiting next week making that feature indispensable.:cell:

My tow bar parking sensor works a treat, just listen for the klonk :D

+1, but the last time I did that was in a Sainsbury's multi story car park. I backed up to the Armco and there was a terrible sound of glass hitting the floor. Every bugger and his wife heard it and watched as I climbed out to survey the damage. The tow bar had hit the Armco and dislodged the local alkie's empties from their last party that they had stuffed into the barrier. Made me chuckle. :D:D
