I'm only guessing but unless it's a LHD I assume it's the right hand panel. I , as a p38 driver, don't have a parking aid siren, I learnt to drive without outside aids relying on sight and ability.

I personally am an advocate of contact parking.
Would like to see some of these wimps parallel park an artic. Would be quite a laugh.

I'm up for that. Remember delivering to Iceland in Blythe, down a jigger behind the shop. It was market day and I had an audience of hundreds expecting me to demolish the shops either side. The lads on the back door said their wagon used to back down (they had just been taken over). It came to pass that theirs was a 7 1/2 ton rigid and I was driving a 42 ton artic. Inches to spare and my eyes were better then, got a round of applause when I got it in.

Took one to a site in middle of Chester with 10 tons of cement and two bloody great compressors on it. Was told at the depot to turn down a certain street as it was a short cut into the site. When i got to the end the bloody road was closed with a ruddy great trench across it. Had to reverse about 300 yards back onto the main road around parked cars. That was interesting.
