I have decided not to get alloys but rather to paint my existing steel rims black.
Halfords satin black is the hardest wearing black I know of
Any other paints out there worth considering for the job
Wouldn't mind a metallic anthracite instead of black

Also any fancy centre caps out there but the standard land rover that could be used?

You haven’t said what colour your car is but I would be tempted to buy a cheap rim from a breakers, spray it black and put it up against the car before embarking on your own rims.
Some colours just don’t suit black wheels.

Black rims may look gangster, but they also look **** if chipped or scraped. Personally, I would go for the anthracite.

It's white
It's a commercial
At the moment they are silver and I also think anthracite be better

The wheels I use for laning are painted with halfords satin black, they're holding up quite well.

Steel wheels are powder coated not painted because the finish is harder. I work in a body shop and painted wheels for myself and others, if people are paying me I would do it but on my own I would now have them powder coated.

Go with the anthracite think it would look good on a white comercial one mate i have painted a few sets and just use halfords paint does the job well mate

my steels where rusting so i rubbed them down primed them and used halfords satin black and the rust came straight through!

in the end i went for black hammerite paint and thats been good for a few years now :)

Satin black or anthracite finish with silver rim always looks good. But as usual the finish is entirely dependent on the preparation,oh and spraying looks better than brushing.
