Hiya

may i ask a daft question plse

got a second hand front bumper which is an upgrade to mine as it has the fog light / PDC sensor holes and wondering instead of having the black gloss paint in the centre if I rub the entire bumper down if will match because I’m unsure if the inner and outer plastic are the same as in texture etc

managed to find some pictures of primed bumpers , wondering of using some etch plastic primer first then matt plastic top coat and finally lacquer , have enough spare cans

As I intend to spray all the trim , ie wheel arch’s , rear bumper , etc , as they've gone like a greyish colour will be easier to just spray all of them so I don’t have to mess around with blackening applications etc

Or do u think it will be the case of spray them and find out , just on the off chance if someone has done that with there bumper and not spraying the centre section gloss

Just started putting matt black on my door handles after spraying 2 x costs of plastic etching primer

thks as always

This is my current bumper that I will replace with the upgraded one, ideal with it being in the shed so can take my time sanding it down and spraying it off the landy

Dont bother painting or anything else, just use Wurth Plastic Dye. Its well good. My D2 plastics have been great now for 15 months.

No worries. I have been extremely impressed with that wurth stuff though, well worth the price if anyone else looking to sort faded trim.
