Hi currently rebuiding 200tdi and have brought a td5 heater i have cleaned the outer case and want to paint it before i fit it what paint should i use been tempted to use vht paint as i have some but thought it might smell if it gets hot what do you think any advice thanks in advance

Due to the enormous heat that the land rover heaters are renowned for i suggest you contact NASA and ask where they get those heat tiles from that they fit to the space shuttle to avoid burning up on re-entry.

Hammerite would do the job.

obviously you have to be careful not to overheat inside the landy

Any sort of paint will do except eggshell emulsion.
