Pretty pointless exercise, a casting is unlikely to rust away so why bother painting it? I'm all for preventative maintenance but painted calipers on a landy? Perhaps this needs putting in the gaylanders section :D

Know what your saying, but you get carried away with everything looking new when your on a rebuild.
Normally, it wouldn't have crossed my mind. Cast iron does rust though.

Exactly :tea: Don't want to be bolting rusty bits to me rebuild :D
Even just black looks better.

Aaron, got my front wheel assemblies back together today. No rain :)
Changed the swivel seals and the half shaft seals while I was in there. I'd painted the swivel seal retaining rings red, to match the Landy, and it looks a bit bling for me (I'm cracking on a bit).
Got the radius arms etc back with new bushes pushed in and thought, stuff it! Started painting those red too. Hoping that the red and rustoleum gloss black combo will look good underneath

No rain for me anorl :)
Course it will, Black and red goes well together :p
Not sure what other colour you'd do other than black mind.
I like my swivel retainers colour coded. Something a bit different. And they're not going to stay shiny forever.
