Need to replace my nearside front bumper end cap. Can find them primed and ready to paint, but I paint like a child after too much orange Tango. Has anyone come across someone selling the finished article painted to your spec? Many thanks!

Don't think anybody does them painted, but may be wrong, but even if you paint really badly, it,s such a small area, if you paint it somewhere warm, and take your time, using quick light coats, and the same with the lacquer, with plenty of coverage, when it,s properly cured, t-cut it back, and it will look great.

Hi archway animal,
If you decide to do it yourself and need any advice, I do spray finishes as part of my job just drop me a pm if you need any questions answered/ direction.
I am a bit far from you otherwise I would have given you a hand, saying that I will be up in northants around xmas time

i painted mine (with front and rear bumper) with a small paint roller, gave a really really good finish (although used gutter paint which probably helped

Just don't apply too much. As soon as it starts to look wet, come away.

If you muck it up you can always paint the whole car matt black and live a life of deepest joy and contentment as a result.

update - despite applying several cans of paint code 751 to the new bumper end cap, it looks nothing like the rest of the car!! Assume the 751 stamped on the plate next to "Paint Code" was just a guess by some bored LR worker back in the day. Anyhow, have now taken Maaarrghk's suggestion and painted the bloody thing Matt Black. Have acquired another for the other side and painted that too, so will fit on Friday and hope the end result looks ok!
