hi so i'v had my defender 90 for about 6 weeks now and started straight away tarting her up,been doing the wheels as they are well rusty and have been doing them 1 a week or so,and so far i done 3:).the wheels are white so all i'v done is rubbed down then used halfords spray primer and used the halfords spray white enamel,but noticed tonight that the 1st one has rust coming throught:confused: wtf! any advice as iv started on the suspension now and dont want the same to happen once i get the bars back on,should i of used a dif primer and brushed it on? please advise someone:eek:

wire brush off all the loose paint and rust and paint with kurust, then paint on top...... i kurusted areas of my chassis 12 months ago and didnt get round to painting till this week, been in a damp garage for 12 months and still had zero rust

all i did was wire brush attachment thing in my drill till it all felt smooth then used a white primer from halfors, im an idiot
 
Did my disco steelies on my 90 3 years ago, rubbed em down with wire brush

Still no rust !!!
 
top drive did you go back to bare metal? also has any one herd of flag rust converter £17.83 ltr, not bad price would like to do my chassis some time this year
